About Input Media
Arsenal TVInput Media have been appointed to produce all the programme content for Arsenal TV as part of the Setanta Sports package available on both satellite, cable and digital terrestrial TV. Input Media also produce Arsenal TV’s weekly programming for international distribution, which follows Arsenal’s Premiership and UEFA Champions League campaigns.

In 2006, Input Media were instrumental in the design and installation of Arsenal’s HD Television Studios at the club’s new stadium; a development that included two studios and a studio control room.

What was required?
Before the launch of the Arsenal TV channel, Input Media researched the market to find the best way to broadcast the channel as there were a number of requirements such as linking live to the studio at the Emirates Stadium and connectivity to BT tower for satellite distribution. Various data feeds were required to streamline and link the EPG data and the playout data. EPG data files were required to be sent to the Sky platform and playout schedule files were required to be sent to Globecast’s state of the art playout centre based at Gray's Inn Road, London.

The solution
Digigate from EBS was chosen to become the EPG and Playout management software, sending EPG data to Sky and playout information to Globecast.

“EBS and Globecast worked as an excellent partnership to help launch Arsenal TV on time and stress free. Digigate from EBS proved to be an easy to use and reliable system, taking care of our scheduling needs”
Mike Reardon, Chief Engineer, Input Media

“EBS are very proud to be chosen as a partner in the successful launch of Arsenal TV. Since the launch, EBS are helping a number of channels to streamline their scheduling management”.
